Jacobs ladder is spring blooming wildflower growing to about 8 " to 10 ". It has blue blooms and leaves that are stair-stepped and are where it gets its name.
It goes dormant in summer but will put out leaves in fall when moisture permits.
The blue blooms add variety to the native garden.
