Hi-Mountain Farm is a family business with more than 60 years of experience growing and supplying dormant bareroot perennials. Founded by Ruth Mooney in the early 1950s, our farm has built its history on practical plant knowledge, years of experience, and a commitment to serving wholesale customers.

## Our Family History

Hi-Mountain Farm began with Ruth Mooney, lovingly known as Granny Ruth within our family. She established the business in the early 1950s and passed on her knowledge of plants, growing practices, and the details involved in shipping dormant bareroot perennials.

My name is Ron Bass, and I have been running the business since 1983. Growing up working alongside Granny Ruth gave me the opportunity to learn about these plants firsthand. Over the years, I have continued building on the foundation she created, learning from both successful seasons and the challenges that have helped us improve.

Decades of hands-on experience have taught us that supplying healthy plants requires careful attention, practical knowledge, and an understanding of what customers need. These lessons remain an important part of how we operate today.
