Goldenrod is a fairly tall plant growing to about 2 feet. It requires full sun but is able to grow in poor soil. It blooms in fall and is one of the last native plants to bloom. It can self-sow seeds to reproduce its self. It is sometimes called a pioneer plant as it is usually one of the first plants to repopulate a disturbed area.
